Chris Joffe
CEO & FOUNDER
Chris Joffe has dedicated his career to making communities safer, which initially took shape in his work in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as a first responder, opening his eyes to the broader need for safety skills. Fueled by this, he began teaching life saving skills to educators, and from there became a safety consultant, helping schools build skills and systems for peace of mind.Today, he leads Joffe Emergency Services, a company wholly dedicated to – and leader in – school safety programming, event safety, and emergency preparedness, and over the past decade his team has worked with thousands of schools across the country to provide training, consultation, and support.
Cat Cecere
MANAGING DIRECTOR, LEARNING & MANAGEMENT PRACTICE
Originally from New York, Cat earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. She began her career as a Teach For America corps member in Jacksonville, Florida, teaching middle school math. She later worked in operations at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools for seven years, becoming the Founding Senior Director of Operations. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida, and an HBX certificate from Harvard Business School, Cat also served as the Founding Regional Director of Operations for IDEA Public Schools before joining the Joffe team full-time in 2021. Cat currently serves as the Managing Director of the Learning and Management Practice, overseeing our team of safety consultants, as well as leading content and learning initiatives including company webinars, newsletters, and trainings.
Alex Soltero
NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF EVENT SAFETY & SECURITY
Alex Soltero, head of Event Safety at Joffe Emergency Services, has crafted security and medical plans for NFL games, major concerts, and trade shows. Recognized in IAVM's 30 Under 30 Class of 2020, Alex holds an Associate Protection Professional certification and a BA in History from California State University, Long Beach.
Lisa Garcia-Stewart
NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL SAFETY & SECURITY
Lisa has 29 years of experience in education that has created opportunities to work in non-profit, public health, and cross-sector consulting. Throughout her career, she has led innovative initiatives, coordinated and oversaw a variety of programs and budgets, and directed various committee meetings for civic engagement and community partnerships. She earned an undergraduate degree in 1993 and a Master of Science in School Counseling in 2002 from Emporia State University, a Master of Arts degree in Education in 2000 from St. Mary University, and completed the District Leadership Program from Pittsburgh University in 2013. She is working towards her Doctoral in Education Administration Leadership.
