As we approach the end of the year, it’s a natural time for reflection - not just within our organizations but across the safety and security industry as a whole. Taking a moment to review key incidents, both close to home and beyond, allows us to learn, grow, and improve for the future. Reflection keeps us aligned with evolving best practices, uncovers lessons learned, and ensures we’re ready for the challenges ahead. Check out this month’s blog to see our thoughts on some public worldwide incidents from this calendar year.
At Joffe, reflection is central to how we operate. In June, we turned inward to evaluate our own progress and milestones, sharing our insights in the July newsletter. Now, as we turn our focus outward, we encourage you to join us in considering what this year has taught us. From the resilience shown in reopening a venue after a tragedy to the hope sparked by positive legislative changes or the lessons gained from unexpected challenges, reflection helps transform tough moments into actionable improvements. Recently, we released an evacuation drill planning toolkit that shares best practices we’ve observed, learned, and helped develop over the course of the year.
We’re always here to help your team prepare for whatever lies ahead. If you’d like to discuss your planning strategies or explore ways to collaborate, let’s connect. Together, we can build safer, more resilient events and venues that thrive long into the future.
